To further enhance needed actions addressed for EHS issues, the EHS Committee conducted another temporary meeting on March 5th (Thur.) in 2020 and discussed the following subjects:

1. Examining the current actions taken by each branch offices regarding the garbage reduction

2. Set the 5% garbage reduction target for 2020 as compared to 2019

3. Review the Risk Evaluation Process and the counter actions addressed for each risk

As the volume of incinerators in Taiwan became saturated and the increase of waste volume in each area, the issue for garbage reduction has been set as one of the critical issues for EHS Committee in Feb., 2020 so as to find out the solutions for reduction and promote the environment concerns concept to all foreign workers.  In the meeting, the chairman Lee make the decision after examining the current actions taken by each branch offices:

1. Set 5% garbage reduction target in 2020 compared with 2019 and request all members in each area shall do one’s best to make it happen.

2. Each office should continue the current actions for garbage reduction with all hearts and deliver this reduction concept to all foreign workers.

3. Should made all efforts to promote the use of environmental friendly tableware and reduce the amount of disposable paper boxes gradually.

4. Reexamine the accuracy of the current generated garbage numbers and report back to the members in each area as the basis for further reduction.

Furthermore, the Committee agreed the Process of Examining Risks taken by our affiliated company (Summit Manpower Co., Ltd., SMA) and the counter actions prepared for each risk.  Also, the EHS member of SMA needs to report back the EHS Committee regarding the effectiveness of the taken actions in the future.
