To face the challenges from various facets, Golden Brother conducted its Labor/Management meeting and EHS temporary meeting on April 21, 2002. 

In the Labor/Management meeting, the secretary reported the overall sales result and the activity planned in the future along with the welfare issues.  Besides, the bonus scheduled to give out for the Labor Day and the Dragon Boat Festival were also mentioned.  As for the company tour, due to the COVID-19 pandemic concern, up to this moment, it will be postposed until the epidemic situation is lessened.  At end of the meeting, Chairman Lee revealed his concern for the slump economic situation in the foreseeable future and requested all staff shall have a positive attitude: “Strive on or vanish, Keep on or perish” to face the coming challenges that required dedication and self-competitiveness.  Only equipped with hard working attitude and competitiveness then one can survive and excel others industry players.

In the EHS temporary meeting, the foci are garbage reduction and water saving measures and the epidemic prevention actions.  Chairman Lee suggested all members of each office to fully utilize the existing GB Serve App as a tool for internal communication and information sharing device in order to quickly deliver the company policies or instructions to all foreign workers and our staff.

As for the garbage reduction issue, the target for 2020 is to have 5% cut than 2019 and quite happily that we have 3 halls already achieved the target in the first quarter in 2020.  To address the concerns of water shortage, the meeting used the “Real time Reservoir statistics in Taiwan” system (https://water.taiwanstat.com/) to demonstrate the current status of each reservoir.  As the Taiwan still suffers for the pandemic of COVID-19, it is absolutely necessary to use the water in a amore stingy and effective way.  Hence, it is suggested to use the App to urge all foreign workers to save water while doing the laundry or taking bath.  All and all, we need to face the water shortage in advance, not later when urgent. 

At the end, Chairman Lee urged all members of EHS shall use our App to put out company’s policies such as garbage reduction and water saving and each member shall report how they use the App as a tool to deliver company’s policies in the next EHS meeting.
