Not to Illegally Import Meat Products

In view of the spreading of the illegally imported pork, the Minister of Ministry of Labor Hsu, Ming-Chun stated on Sept. 2nd (Thursday) that the government had recently found certain companies that had violated the sale of illegal meat products of unknown origin with African swine fever virus. As a result, ROC government proclaimed that anyone who illegally imported meat products would be sentenced to a fixed-term imprisonment of not more than 7 years and a fine of not more than NT$3 million.  If a migrant worker receives a parcel of meat products from an infected area, he/she should send it to the animal quarantine agency for destruction.  Those who violated the rules will be fined up to NT$150,000.

 

If a migrant worker is disciplined, he/she also violates Article 73, paragraph 6 of the Employment Service Act, and will be regarded as seriously violation of applicable laws and regulations. Therefore, the migrant worker’s employment permit will be revoked by the Ministry and send out of the country.Once again, Golden Brother would like to remind all the migrant workers to pay special attention the illegal importing port issue so as to avoiding violations of related regulations.
