In the meeting, we first review the performance indexes of 2021 and pick up five main issues that need to be improved and list them in the new performance indexes in 2022 after going through the ISO risk analysis and evaluation processes.  Under the COVID-19 pandemic concerns, Golden Brother luckily went through this pressure and all migrant workers were all safe under the supervision of our company, it is the greatest comfort in 2021 for Golden Brother. 

Due to the COVID-19 burst out in 2021 rapidly in Taiwan, Chairman Lee specifies that it shows us the risk analysis has high importance to be conducted in advance; furthermore, it is also necessary to adopt quick actions to address the newly added risk.  As a result, risk analysis can't be treated as a yearly assignment but should be treated as dynamic actions at all times.  

The new EHS performance indexes of 2022 will focus on the responsibilities of each area and the proper execution by the first line coordinator of each dormitory.  Besides, the EHS committee in the future will let the EHS member of each area report five main issues either through browsing the internal website or by preparing a few slides of ppt so as to ensure the EHS requirements of each area are being performed on the right track instead of afterward review and corrections.  Furthermore, for those areas that have EHS issues that need to be improved, the EHS board member will have the accountability to carry out his/her duties.  

The five issues mentioned above are: “checkup list and fire extinguisher file uploading”, “dormitory resume event briefing”, “correction and prevention briefing”, “garbage reduction”, “other specific issues briefing”.  The first three items will be briefed directly on the internal website and the latter two items will require a few slides of ppt and all this information can serve as evidence of carrying out EHS programs while facing external auditing.  As for the garbage issues, due to the processing charge elevated in a great deal and the incinerator can’t accommodate the garbage volume as before; hence, Chairman Lee requested EHS members in each area to conduct garbage classification so as to minimize the risk of failing to collect garbage or garbage piling up.  Lee also gave his thanks to those areas that carried the garbage classification with solid performance and urged for better results.

In the end, Chairman Lee reminds all members, based upon the need for risk management and timeliness, the company has to face the known risk and the newly added risk coming ahead; hence, it is necessary to upload the information into the internal website on time without delaying to reflect the real situation and the uploading will become one of the routines in the future.  As all information is now internally accessible, the results can be seen by all others and the drawbacks can be further improved after getting the feedback from all other areas.  In this way, the long-standing “information asymmetry” concerns can be effectively minimized.
