In the meeting on May 18, the Central Disaster Response Center for African swine fever of ROC discussed the intensified measures to prevent African swine fever and other domestic epidemic preparedness work.  It was decided that from May 20, 2022, if the recipient of pork products sent to Taiwan is the importer, the importer will be fined NT 0.2M for the first time, and the second time (and above) will be fined NT1M dollars in order to strengthen the management of pork products carried by international parcels. 

Please remind your relative in other countries not to mail pork products to Taiwan to avoid getting punished.
