In order to provide a better and safety living environment, the OSH committee called a temporary provience-wide video conference to address the concern of a fire alarm happened yesterday at Hsinchu Chupei of other agency's dormitory and the treatment of a malfunctioned elevator.  Learning from the accident of Chupei, the OHS committee asked the responsible person of each area should look into the issue of fire usage guidance for foreign workers and the clean-up periodically of those cooking facilities that may accumulate the oil stains.

In the meeting, the chairman requested the OHS members must be prepared for the worst and learn from others' experience  and post a warning sign outside and inside the elevator based upon the instructions given by Presiden Golden Li and Vice Chairman Peter Hsieh.  The outside one warns the takers not to use the elevator under certain situations such as fire and earthquake and the inside one provides the urgent contact phone numbers that include the maintenance service company and the contact person able to speak different languages so as to let the person shutout in the elevator can find quick assistance to get out. The chairman also urges all members to examine the cooking facilities that may contain with oil stains need to be cleared up on fixed interval hence to provide a quality and safety living environment.
